In September, there were many changes to the real estate market. Let’s dive in and take a look at the numbers for September, previous months, and in the last year.
In September, the average price for homes sat at $1,086,762, with 5,038 houses sold. The amount of homes sold in September 2022 had decreased by 11% compared to August 2022, which had 5,627 homes sold.
The active listings for September 2022 increased by 1% from August 2022, sitting at 13,534.
TORONTO
In the last month, transactions have increased by 15% but have decreased almost 35% from last year.
Since last year, the average sold price for homes has increased by only 1% and in the last month it has not changed at all.
Condo apartments have increased by about 3% year over year.

Average prices for semi-detached homes: $998,490
Average prices for freehold homes: $987,308
Average prices for condo apartments: $711,321

VAUGHAN
In the last month, the average sold price for homes in Vaughan has decreased by 3%, but in the last year it has increased by almost 25%.
Townhouse prices have dropped by almost 21% since April 2022, but have increased 7% since last September in 2021.
